In 2025 European truck manufacturers will have to slash the average CO2 emissions of new trucks by 15 per cent or face hefty fines and this is being answered with innovation from Iveco. While some truck makers will no doubt struggle, Iveco is embracing the challenge.

Less than two years after receiving its first allocation of Daily vans, leading rental company, Europcar, recently took delivery of its 200th Daily vehicle, having earlier in the year expanded its partnership with IVECO to include the supply of Europcar’s new Pantech-body trucks.

Recent celebrations at IVECO revolved around the much-loved ACCO range, as the last current generation, Euro 5 model unit left the assembly line at the company's manufacturing facility in Melbourne.

In 1962, the first civilian AACO (Australian A-line Cab Over) models left the production line at International Harvester's Dandenong, Melbourne, production works. Some 57 years later, IVECO is celebrating the delivery of the 90,000th ACCO (Australian C-line Cab Over).
