Iveco Eurocargo

The new Eurocargo is an attractive, modern truck that excels in all conditions. The Eurocargo range adds a new dimension to the medium-duty Australian truck market with its stylish, aerodynamic and luxuriously equipped day or sleeper cabs. The IVECO Tector engines offer outstanding performance, reliability and economy, while complying to the new Euro 4 emission regulations through SCR technology.

 

Range:Eurocargo

  • Eurocargo is designed to meet the widest possible range of operator requirements with day cab or sleeper cab options.
  • Eurocargo is available in 4x2 and 6x2 configuration.
  • A choice of two wheelbase options either 5.67 metres or 6.57 metres.
  • GVMs range from 12,000 to 23000kg.
  • The 5.9 litre Tector engine offers two outputs 280hp or 300hp
  • The new transmission is a 9-speed with a H over H pattern.

Cabs:

  • The Eurocargo cabs are aerodynamically efficient and extremely comfortable inside.
  • The day cab is designed essentially for urban distribution.
  • The sleeper cab provides an inviting sleeping area on a generous-size bunk behind the seats.
  • The driver-friendly, four-point suspension cab is supremely comfortable with
  • Practical, easy-to-reach, ergonomic controls, adjustable steering wheel and an adjustable Isri suspension driver's seat.
  • The standard fitment of cruise control and air-conditioning on all Eurocargo models further aids safety and comfort.
  • The gear lever has been relocated onto the dashboard, minimising driver's hand movements between steering wheel and gear lever.

Driveline:

  • The range of driveline choices is consistent with the adaptive nature of the Eurocargo.
  • The vehicle can to be tailored to meet specific requirements of applications, ensuring ease of driving, strong performance and maximum economy.

Gearbox:

  • Tector engine producing 280hp is equipped with a 9-speed Iveco direct-drive synchromesh transmission
  • 300hp versions use a nine-speed Eaton direct-drive synchromesh transmission.
  • Both transmissions have a H over H shift pattern, and to minimise driver's hand movements between steering wheel and gear lever, the gear lever has been relocated onto the dashboard.

Axles:

  • Eurocargo offers different rear axle ratios making it possible to tailor for all types of applications.
  • An I-beam front axle with capacities ranging from 4800kg to 7500kg ensures the Eurocargo is suited to all load requirements

Suspension:

  • All Eurocargo models come standard with the option of ECAS (Electronically Controlled rear Airbag Suspension) which regulates the height of the chassis. This helps maintain a level ride and assist on-road handling.
  • ECAS also makes loading and unloading simple, fast and safe.
  • Airbag front suspension is standard on Eurocargo ML120E.


Braking:

  • Comprising ventilated discs on front and rear, the air-over-hydraulic twin-circuit system operates through three-channel anti lock and is aided by a standard three-mode exhaust brake.
  • The exhaust brake is activated when the accelerator is released, or when the service brake is activated by a push-button on the dashboard.

Engine:

  • The New Eurocargo range offers Iveco's Tector 5.9-litre six-cylinder engine, designed for outstanding durability, easy servicing and good fuel economy.
  • The in-line six-cylinder engines feature four valves per cylinder, high-pressure common-rail fuel injection, electronic engine management and an integrated-wastegate turbocharger with intercooler.
  • They are characterised by a flat torque curve between 1250 and 2100rpm for 280hp and between 1250 and 2000rpm for 300hp, which means fewer gear changes and a more relaxed driving style.
  • Tector engines are available in two output levels and are designed to meet Euro 4 emission standards through SCR technology.
